What to Expect During the Treatment
Dr. Weishar, our board-certified
award-winning founder, and our team of aesthetic medical professionals offer this non-surgical hair loss treatment at our office in Philadelphia. During the procedure, blood is drawn from the patient, prepared, and then injected back into the affected areas on the scalp. The growth factors released during the therapy stimulate stem cell proliferation and hair growth.
Hair Loss Treatment Risks
During the procedure, in Bucks County, your own blood is used to stimulate growth which means that there is no risk of you contracting a communicable disease. Injections can, however, have the following side effects:
- Infections
- Scar tissue
- Calcification at the site of the injection
- Blood vessel injuries
Dr. Weishar will explain the hair loss treatment procedure to you and give you a detailed overview of any risks and side effects.
Is it Painful?
We have a number of ways to ensure your comfort and safety throughout your treatment. You can expect a little discomfort at the injection sites, but this subsides once the procedure is completed even though the treated areas may be tender to touch for a short period following the procedure.
Hair Growth Stimulation Results
Each patient is unique and thus the results will vary since this is not a cure for hair loss, but is effective in restoring hair growth and density in areas affected by hair loss. While patients may see improvement after one session, we do recommend a treatment plan of up to six sessions, each a month apart for the best effective results.
