WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
When patients visit Springhouse Dermatology for their initial consultation, they will first meet with Dr. Weishar regarding the areas they would like to treat as well as to discuss their desired results. Patients will be asked to cleanse before the procedure begins to ensure the best results. Once protective eyewear is in place, Dr. Weishar will demonstrate the sensation of the laser on a test area of the skin before carrying on, making several passes with the laser. The process may take as little as 15 minutes, with the patients experiencing minor discomfort (often described as a rubber band snap against the skin). Following treatment, the patient will be provided with a cold compress to soothe any lasting discomfort.

HOW MUCH DOES PICO GENESIS COST?
Typically, PICO Genesis costs anywhere between $750 and $1000. The price depends on the size of the area being treated as well as whether or not you would like your decolletage done. If you just need a spot treatment, the procedure will cost between $350 and $750. Dr. Weishar will run you through the cost of the treatment during your initial consultation.
DOES PICO GENESIS HURT?
Laser Genesis is almost pain-free. During the treatment, you will feel a warm sensation on your face. You may also feel a slight tingling sensation often compared to the pinch of a rubber band against the skin. Any discomfort you feel during the procedure will subside in a matter of hours after your treatment is complete.
DOES PICO GENESIS WORK ON ALL SKIN TYPES?
PICO Genesis treatment uses a YAG laser which is the same type that is used for laser hair removal in patients with darker skin tones. While ideal for light and medium skin tones, laser Genesis is a viable treatment option for all skin types.
HOW LONG DOES PICO GENESIS LAST?
With PICO Genesis treatment, results do vary depending on the patient. The majority of Dr. Weishar’s patients experience results that last between 6 and 12 months before needing a top-up treatment. To maximize results, it is important that patients follow Dr. Weishar’s post-treatment recommendations.
